This homemade herbal tea relieve flu cold n cough symptoms during rainy or winter season and helps to boost immunity. first, wash fresh ginger thoroughly to remove any dirt & peel it with a knife now cut 1 inch of ginger root into thin slices. It doesn’t have to be precise, but you want plenty of surface area to steep and release as much as nice juices as possble while making herbal tea with 1 inch of ginger root, u will be easily able to make 8 to 10 thin ginger slices like these now take a glass bowl and add all those ginger slices ,.
Make sure u immediately transfer the slices once done, heat 1 cup of water, and when it starts to boil, immediately add boiling water to the bowl. you need the water at rolling boil, not just hot, for the ginger to steep properly now cover the bowl with lid let it sit for a 10 minutes, and you should get a lovely pale gold coloured, slightly cloudy tea At this point, you can strain out the bits of ginger if you like, but I generally prefer to leave them in.
Once it comes to room temperature , its time to add honey . as per ayurveda, you should never add honey to hot fluids ,as honey becomes toxic for the body so add honey only when ginger wateris lukewarm Once done, roll a lemon for quick Vit c. and squeeze the juice into the tea. you can also add 1 entire lemon if u like Stir well and drink it immediately.
